Kirsty Bunce

Hi, I’m Kirsty. I am an illustration student at the university of Hertfordshire. I create colourful, bold line illustrations often inspired by the natural world and events in the news and day to day life. I enjoy visualising puns or plays on words, these can have either a lighthearted or deeper meaning depending on the intended message of the illustration. I use a mixture of mediums in my work with a current focus on ink and colour pencil and digital media. I have just finished working on a project combining my interest in history into my practice, looking at 'Unlikely Heroes', carrier pigeons who's efforts have been credited with saving lives and assisting with delivering important information in exceptional circumstances.
